What You’ll Learn in Shift to Mastery
Level 2 Training
Cognitive Biases: Becoming Aware of Your Own
As coaches, we are not immune to cognitive biases—those automatic thought patterns that can unconsciously shape our judgments and decisions. In this module, you will explore common biases like confirmation bias, availability bias, and anchoring—within yourself. By becoming aware of how these biases influence your perceptions and coaching approach, you’ll be better equipped to provide objective, unbiased support to your clients. This heightened self-awareness will allow you to challenge your own assumptions and guide your clients with greater clarity and fairness.
When Your Client Needs a Counselor
As a coach, you’ll occasionally encounter clients who struggle with deeper psychological issues such as codependency or other emotional challenges. This module will help you identify when your client may need more than coaching—and how to navigate that conversation with compassion and professionalism. You’ll also explore the fine line between coaching and therapy, empowering you to support your clients while maintaining clear ethical boundaries.
Neuroplasticity – The Brain That Suddenly Becomes Aware
This module delves into the fascinating world of neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to rewire itself in response to new experiences, learning, and insights. You’ll explore current research on how awareness and mindfulness can spark brain changes, helping clients break free from old patterns and create new, healthier behaviors. This knowledge will allow you to facilitate deep, lasting transformations in your coaching practice.
Reframe Your Brain
Learn the power of reframing—teaching your clients to see their challenges, emotions, and beliefs in a new light. This module will use the analogy of making a new friend or going on a first date: approach each situation with honest curiosity. You’ll gain practical strategies for helping clients reframe negative situations, thoughts, or feelings into opportunities for growth, connection, and learning.
ACTION Learning
Effective coaching moves beyond insights—it drives action. In this module, you’ll learn the ACTION Learning approach, which emphasizes learning through doing. Help clients set meaningful goals and take the necessary steps toward change, while fostering continuous reflection and growth throughout the process. You’ll master strategies to keep clients accountable and on track without falling into the trap of problem-solving for them.
ADKAR Model
The ADKAR Model (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement) is a powerful framework for managing personal change. In this module, you’ll apply ADKAR principles to guide your clients through their own transformation journeys. You’ll learn how to assess where your client is in the change process and how to offer tailored support that helps them achieve sustainable, meaningful outcomes.
